Worldways Social Marketing has been awarded three Bronze Telly Awards for a powerful campaign promoting healthy habits for children entitled, “Kids Can’t Do It Alone.” Selected from among 14,000 entries, the award-winning ad depicts what would happen if kids ran their own healthy cooking show. It doesn’t take long for things to go awry in the kitchen, reinforcing the message that “Kids need to eat better, but they can’t do it alone.”
“Kids Can’t Do It Alone” was produced in partnership with Trace Pictures of Toronto, Canada. The TV ad is part of a broad multimedia campaign in Delaware aimed at policymakers, community leaders, and other concerned adults, who are in a position to help kids eat healthier. It was produced for our client, Nemours Health & Prevention Services.
These ads are one major component of “The Campaign to Make Delaware’s Kids the Healthiest in the Nation.” More than 150 leaders from throughout the state, led by Governor Ruth Ann Minner, already have joined together to support the multi-year social marketing campaign, which was launched in October 2007.
“We are proud of this campaign, which can lead to significant policy, practice, and behavior changes throughout Delaware. We are honored to be working with NHPS in this effort to create the the ability, opportunity, and motivation for Delaware’s children to live healthier lives,” said Seth Klukoff, Senior Consultant with Worldways. “We appreciate the recognition from the Telly Awards as the leading awards organization for our industry.” Presented annually since 1978, the Telly Awards recognize the finest in advertising, video and film, and in the last 29 years, the competition has become the largest of its kind with entries from 30 countries.
